As we approach the final day of matches in the main phase of the Valorant Masters Shanghai, the tension is palpable. Today, two teams will bid farewell to the competition, while two others will inch closer to the ultimate glory.

With only one team able to claim the crown, all eyes are on the remaining matchups to see who will emerge victorious.

In the first match, Paper Rex faced off against 100 Thieves. The initial battleground was Breeze, where the North American squad took an early lead. Bang was instrumental, consistently dismantling the opposition and leading his team to an 8-4 advantage at halftime.

In the second half, Asuna’s stellar performance ensured 100 Thieves’ dominance, sealing the map with a 13-5 victory.

The second map, Sunset, saw PAC champions Paper Rex applying significant pressure, with F0rsaken’s precise plays on Bridge securing an 8-4 lead at the half. Despite a more competitive second half, PRX managed to hold off a comeback from 100 Thieves, finishing the map 13-10.

The deciding map, Icebox, featured aggressive defense from Asuna, contributing to a 7-5 lead for 100 Thieves. The roles reversed, and the match became a nail-biter, pushing into overtime. Ultimately, Bang’s crucial plays led 100 Thieves to a narrow 14-12 victory, eliminating Paper Rex from the tournament.

FUT vs. Team Heretic

The second match of the day saw FUT Esports going up against Team Heretics. The first map, Bind, was closely contested, ending the first half at 6-6. In the second half, Benjyfishy took center stage, dismantling the opposition and leading Team Heretics to a 13-7 win.

The second map, Sunset, showcased a robust defense from the Heretics. Once again, Benjyfishy created chaos for FUT, securing a 9-3 lead at halftime. The Spanish team maintained their pressure after the switch, winning consecutive rounds to close the map 13-4, thus eliminating FUT from the tournament.

This intense day of competition sees the departure of Paper Rex and FUT, who both showcased incredible skill throughout the tournament. However, the superior strategies and execution of 100 Thieves and Team Heretics earned them a spot in the next stage.
