South America-based organizations Evil Geniuses and beastcoast will represent the region in their first Valve Major. However, the Lima Major will not begin until after the conclusion of Division 2 to allow teams enough time to form their travel plans and submit visa applications. Although the crowd for the Lima Major is very big and tickets are almost sold out, there are still tensions in the country. Tourist attractions like Machu Picchu have been closed, but 4D Esports still says that fans don’t have to worry and the Major won’t be affected by the unrest. Hopefully the situation can settle down soon.
