The 8 slots for the qualified teams to the VALORANT Masters Madrid have been filled, completing the list of participants for the first international event of VALORANT in 2024. Eight teams secured their spots at the VCT: Masters Madrid, with the event set to take place in the Spanish capital. Notably, Spanish club Team Heretics will play as the local representative.

Spanish Representation at Masters Madrid

The VALORANT Masters Madrid now has its participants. The first international stop on the VALORANT calendar for 2024 is set to take place, with teams determined from the Grand Finals of their respective VCT Kickoff regions. Karmine Corp, Team Heretics, Sentinels, LOUD, Gen.G Esports, Paper Rex, EDward Gaming, and FunPlus Phoenix will all compete at the VALORANT Masters Madrid.

Team Heretics Fulfilling the Dream

Since its announcement, the VALORANT Masters Madrid has aimed to have a representative from the host country. Fortunately for the event, Team Heretics will be present after a fantastic start to the year.

The Spanish squad will head to the capital of their country as the second-best team in EMEA. Led by the Lukaševičius brothers (Boo and MiniBoo), Team Heretics had a strong start to the season, securing the coveted spot and only falling to Karmine Corp in the final.

The Road to Masters Madrid

Each of the eight participants has recently competed in the Grand Finals of their region’s VCT Kickoff. Karmine Corp, the only team to defeat Team Heretics, has been one of the revelations qualifying for the VALORANT Masters Madrid. The French team and its young lineup made a successful debut in EMEA, claiming a title that positions them as favorites in Spanish soil.

Representation Across Regions

The VALORANT Masters Madrid. Sentinels, led by Tyson “TenZ” Ngo and company, return to an international VALORANT event after 3 years. The North American team achieved champion status in America, rekindling their early dominance in the title. LOUD, a Brazilian team led by Matias “Saadhak” Delipetro, secured their spot in their seventh international tournament.

In the East, Paper Rex and Gen.G Esports will represent the Pacific and China respectively. While Paper Rex will participate as usual, Gen.G Esports earned their spot in their first international VALORANT event by defeating Paper Rex in the Kickoff.

Tournament Details

The VALORANT Masters Madrid will kick off on Thursday, March 14th. In less than two weeks,

Madrid and Spain will host their first international VALORANT event, promising to be a success. The tournament will begin with a Swiss phase, with the top 4 teams advancing to the playoffs, culminating in a double-elimination bracket to determine the champion.
