6. December 2023 by Valentin Pasetti

Valorant’s patch 7.12 marks the end of this year’s updates, introducing exciting changes, including the much-anticipated launch of the Drift map, and tweaks to agents Gekko and Skye.

Drift: Valorant’s New Deathmatch Map

  • Layout: The map features three lanes, fostering predictable skirmishes in isolated streets. The dynamic element is added by a zip line that intertwines the lanes, enhancing combat fluidity.

Agent Adjustments

  • Recovery of Vertigo (E), Carnalito (Q), and Paliza (X): Channeling time for recovery reduced from 2 seconds to 1 second.

Vertigo (E)

  • Faster targeting and projectile speed.
  • Aiming delay before shooting reduced from 0.5 sec to 0.35 sec.
  • Missile speed increased from 7000 to 10,000.

Forjacaminos (Q)

  • Camera movement during jump disabled.
  • No concussion explosion when Forjacaminos is destroyed mid-jump.
  • Forjacaminos now triggers the destruction phrase upon exploding during the jump.
  • The explosion now causes concussion to both allies and enemies.
