Sony is ahead of Summer Game Fest and holding its PlayStation Showcase, an exclusive PlayStation presentation. All the information about the PlayStation Showcase was revealed by journalist Jeff Grubb, who gave important information about important events in advance.
According to Jeff Grubb, the event is scheduled for July 8, 2023; however, at the moment, Sony has made no official announcement.
E3 is canceled
The information about the PlayStation Showcase was released after it was announced that this year’s E3 would be canceled. The news about E3 was announced by ReedPop’s global vice president of games, Kyle Marsden-Kish, who issued a press release.
Kyle Marsden-Kish commented that the decision to cancel E3 was painful; many people had worked hard to make the event possible. However, they had to do the right thing for the industry and E3, so canceling it was the best option.
On the other hand, Kyle Marsden-Kish apologizes to everyone committed to this year’s event. She adds that she regrets not being able to give them the showcase they deserve.
E3 is an exhibition event that has grown to a point where it has become one of the most important events in the video game industry. Unfortunately, however, the main players participating in the event began to leave E3 a few weeks ago; the crisis began for the organizers.
The first companies to announce their withdrawal were Nintendo and Xbox; then, many companies followed suit and canceled their participation.

According to the information revealed by Jeff Grubb, the calendar of such events this summer will start with Sony’s PlayStation Showcase. In addition, numerous video game companies are also working to hold events to present their new products; after the news of E3’s cancellation.
