As the excitement builds in Madrid for the upcoming VALORANT Champions Tour (VCT) Masters, all eyes are on Matias “Saadhak” Delipetro, the Argentine IGL of LOUD, who is brimming with anticipation to make his mark on Spanish soil.

Igniting Excitement at the Media Day

The VCT Masters Madrid kicked off with an electrifying Media Day, where representatives from the eight participating teams shared their thoughts ahead of the tournament’s debut on Thursday, March 14.

Among them, Saadhak’s sentiments resonated deeply. The captain of LOUD expressed eagerness to lead his Brazilian team in an international tournament and felt particularly moved by the prospect of being the only Hispanic representative at the event.

Saadhak’s Ambition

Although not hailing from Spain nor representing a Spanish club, Saadhak embraced the opportunity to carry the Hispanic banner at VCT Masters Madrid. The LOUD captain, eager to compete on Spanish soil, expressed his dream of clinching victory in a land where his language is spoken.

“I am thrilled to represent the Spanish-speaking community in this tournament in a country within our community. It would be a dream for me to win on Spanish soil, among people who speak my language.”

Acknowledging Support and Realities

Despite his enthusiasm, Saadhak acknowledges that he may not receive unconditional support as the sole Hispanic contender. He understands that Spanish fans may favor European teams, especially with Team Heretics representing their region.

However, he remains open to any support from the Spanish audience, recognizing their passion akin to that of his native Argentina and Brazil.

Embracing the Tournament Format

During the press conference, Saadhak shared his approval of the new tournament format, emphasizing the importance of adaptation in the fast-paced competition. “I really like the format they have implemented.

Having space to play three matches is great because sometimes losing is a good thing that helps improve in the tournament.” He highlighted adaptation as the key to success in facing unknown opponents in quick succession.

Final Thoughts and Debut

Saadhak’s debut at VCT Masters Madrid is scheduled for Thursday, March 14, where LOUD will face Gen.G, the Pacific’s newest champion. The best-of-three (Bo3) encounter will kick off at 19:00 CET // 15:00 ART.

As the sole Hispanic contender, Saadhak’s performance at the Madrid Arena will mark the beginning of an exciting journey, with eyes on his interaction with the Spanish audience.
