The Austin Major 2025, organized by BLAST, is set to become the first major Counter-Strike 2 tournament of the year. With the event just weeks away, teams are finalizing their rosters, and FaZe Clan has delivered a headline-making decision by bringing back S1mple, one of the greatest players in Counter Strike history.
S1mple replaces Broky in FaZe Clan’s active lineup
Amid growing speculation from fans following a cryptic Telegram post, FaZe Clan officially benched Broky and confirmed they are open to offers for him. The shock move was followed by the announcement that S1mple would take his place on the main roster for the Austin Major.
This marks the return of the Ukrainian legend, who had been inactive in recent months. His arrival instantly boosts FaZe’s chances in a tournament where Team Vitality is currently considered the top contender.

Skullz registered as substitute amid uncertainty around Rain
FaZe Clan’s roster changes might not stop with Broky’s departure. The team also announced that Skullz has been registered as a substitute for the Austin Major. This comes after reports that Rain is dealing with personal issues that may affect his ability to compete.

What has been confirmed, however, is that Skullz will play IEM Dallas 2025 with FaZe. The tournament runs from May 19 to 25, serving as a key warm-up event before the Major in June.
