It has recently been reported that Riot Games has sanctioned Kim “Clid” Tae-min, one of the stars of LCK for a whole year. Clid has been heavily sanctioned for sending sexually explicit messages to different women.
LCK pro player is sanctioned for inappropriate behavior
According to the information revealed by Riot Games, Clid has had inappropriate behavior by sending sexual messages to some women. As a consequence, this professional player will be suspended for a period of 12 months. This sanction on Clid follows a lengthy investigation conducted by Riot Games for the sexual messages that this player had apparently sent to numerous women, including an underage girl.
Investigation into Clid’s inappropriate behavior
Last June, a Twitter user named “Seoyeon” posted on the social network accusing Clid of sending several explicit messages. She also revealed that Clid had also sent her a selfie. But that’s not all. The girl commented that she tried to contact Hanwha Life Esports, the team Clid plays with, to discuss this matter. However, the organization ignored the girl’s messages.
Nevertheless, Riot Games started an investigation to analyze the integrity of the messages published on Twitter and to study the player’s statements. After a long period, Riot Games concluded that no circumstances indicated that the women who had complained about Clid’s behavior had supported his behavior. Specifically, Riot Games concluded that sexual comments to minors are never appropriate.
LCK has decided to ban Clid for 1year. He will be banned from competing not only in LCK/LCKCL but also in other regions. https://t.co/ff0kOYoH9N

The outcome of Riot Games’ investigation
After conducting a thorough investigation into Clid’s behavior, Riot Games came to the following conclusion:
“The LCK Investigation Committee has decided to suspend Kim ‘Clid’ Tae-min from participation in both the LCK and leagues in other regions for 12 months.”
On the other hand, the investigation committee adds:
“A player’s conduct must be above reproach, and professional players must lead by example of good conduct.”
12-month suspension
Clid has 14 days to appeal the decision of the LCK investigation committee. Should the player fail to appeal this decision, the sanction will be irrevocable, and he will be banned from participating in the LCK for 12 months.
In addition, Clid will be banned from participating in any national or international league until the 12-month sanction is completed. In short, Clid’s professional LoL career will be suspended for one year. Undoubtedly, the Korean jungler is experiencing a major downfall in his career. Since Clid’s inappropriate messages were made public, his team benched him, and now he must face a heavy one-year ban.
