As the new year approaches, so does the BLAST.tv Paris Major 2023. Teams and Organisations are preparing to show their skills on the big stage. In the process, a new team is also looking to make it to Paris, which could be made up of promising players, led by no other than Richard “shox” Papillon.

One of Counter-Strike’s most famous players has announced plans to create a new French CS:GO team that should make it to the Paris Major. Richard “shox” Papillon has decided to launch his own project and continues to heat up the rumor mill about reuniting some of the best players from France. Will he be able to win it all with his team?

shox played with the stars of the scene

shox is someone everyone knows, especially in the french scene, where he played with the top players for years and years. The 30-year-old has several top-20 finishes in the rankings, and a major title (from 2014) to his name. On top of that a number of high-profile teams that have included him in their main roster at one point or another.

He has played on one team with some of the biggest players in the CS scene such as Kenny “KennyS” Schrub and Mathieu “ZywOo” Herbaut. He was able to win a trophy with almost every organisation he was part of. Then in December 2021, shox moved to Team Liquid, but couldn’t make it into the lineup.

This eventually led to him switching to another orga, Apeks, along with Martin “STYKO” Styk and Joakim “jkaem” Myrbostad. But he did not feel comfortable and after only three months at Apeks there were “different of opinions”, so he was allowed to look for other teams. Perhaps the differences also led him to start his own team, after all, he will be his own boss.

shox wants to qualify for the BLAST.tv Paris Major

Now that shox has launched his own project, it might be the last opportunity for the 30-year-old to play CS:GO the way he wants to.

At this point, shox has decided to keep a low profile and not reveal much about the new project just yet. Regarding the lineup, shox said, “I’m not going to tell you any more, I’ll give you a date in my stream tomorrow at 9pm.”

On Reddit, there was already a post a few months ago titled “How about this French Last Dance lineup, according to the transfer rumors?” with this picture. However, a commenter below the picture thinks it’s questionable whether shox would play with Nathan “NBK-” Schmitt.
