Overwatch 2: System to get the most legendary skins of the game for free

In Overwatch 2, getting cosmetics has become complicated after the game became free-to-play. However, legendary skins can now be obtained for free; apparently, players are not thrilled.

Initially, players who wanted the newest cosmetics in the game needed Overwatch Coins; these coins are purchased with real money. However, with the release of Overwatch 2, the game developers have decided to change how cosmetics are gotten.

In Overwatch 2’s new system, players earn coins by completing weekly challenges. Blizzard’s goal with this system is to increase the player base in exchange for providing a small reward to the most loyal players.

However, eight months after the launch of Overwatch 2, players find that to obtain legendary skins, they must spend weeks completing each game’s challenges. This fact has been a bit demoralizing for some players.

Overwatch 2 Legendary Skins

The legendary skins of Overwatch 2, although they seem they can be obtained without investing real money in the game, players must invest a lot of time to achieve. However, if we consider that each player can get 60 coins per week by completing the challenges, at the end of a year, each player will get 3,120 coins if he does not leave any week.

A legendary skin costs 1,900 coins, so you must invest a year of constant play and real money to buy two skins.

Recently on Reddit, some Overwatch 2 users have commented that to get a legendary skin, they must play more than half a year to save the coins needed to be able to buy it.

If you’ve done all your weekly challenges since launch and haven’t spent money, you’d now have enough for a shop legendary skin.

On the other hand, another user has compared it with Overwatch 1, stating that in a single day, you could get enough coins if you played enough.

Similarly, another player has expressed that the new system is designed to keep you in the game. But if you work for a minimum wage of $7.25 an hour in a few hours, you can get the $20 to buy the skin.

Another player has commented that Blizzard’s new system is completely insane, claiming that the developer has taken a money-making machine and turned it on.

As we commented before, with the new system, Overwatch 2 players can get coins without spending money, but apparently, not many users are happy with all the time they have to invest in getting it.

So if you want to get one or more legendary skins, you should prepare for a few long months of gameplay. Remember that weekly you will get the same amount of money by completing each of the weekly challenges.
