OneNetbook has formally presented its brand new console based on Windows 11. This new console will include a large screen, new hardware, removable controllers like those of Nintendo Switch, and other curiosities.

Right now, the market for portable consoles which are PC-based is in a very intriguing period. During the last few years, this market has had significant growth; however, the turning point for this sector of the video game industry was the launch of Valve’s Steam Deck. In addition, another very important launch for the portable console market recently was that of the ROG Ally from ASUS.

We must add a third model to these two consoles to stay with a part of the market; we are talking about OneNetbook’s OneXplayer 2 Pro portable. The new OneNetbook console is very interesting, not only for its hardware but also for the concept of the product.

OneNetbook OneXplayer 2 Pro Presentation

Yesterday, June 7th, everyone could see the presentation of OneNetbook’s OneXplayer 2 Pro at an event in China, which takes inspiration from Evangelion. In this presentation, we could see some unique console features based on Windows 11.

To begin with, the OneXplayer 2 Pro will feature detachable controllers like the Nintendo Switch; it is important to note that this is something the brand had already bet on with previous versions. Thanks to the fact that the controllers can be removed, the console can also be used occasionally as a kind of iPad.

Another very interesting element in the OneXplayer 2 Pro is its rear flap allowing the console to stand upright. In addition, a keyboard can be inserted, quickly converting it from a portable console to a mini laptop.

The OneXplayer 2 Pro hardware

Going into more detail at the hardware level, we find that many new generation laptops use an AMD APU, the Ryzen 7 7840U. Moreover, it combines the latest CPU and graphics architectures from AMR: Zen 4 and RDNA 3.

On the other hand, the Chinese company has confirmed that the OneXplayer 2 Pro will be sold with different memory capacities for both Ram and storage. So people can expect the new console to reach 64 GB of LPDDR5X RAM and up to 4 TB of NVMe SSD storage. In turn, the console will feature a relatively huge 8.4-inch display with a resolution of 2560 x 1600 pixels (8:5 aspect ratio). We are talking about one of the best displays for consoles of this type. In addition, it will include a fairly large 65.5 Whr battery.

It is unknown what the price will be or when this new console model based on Windows 11 will reach the market.
