While Riot has been known to solicit community feedback on various game aspects, like balance, desired skins, and issues, the idea of letting players decide on an item is truly groundbreaking.
Details of the New Support Tanks’ Item
2024 promises significant innovations in the LoL meta, including new champions, runes, and items. Within these changes, one particular item, designed for support tanks like Alistar, Leona, or Braum, will have a name and look decided by the players.
This item, codenamed “Speeding with Friends,” aims to be an add-on for champions who like to roam the map and support others in different lanes. Its passive allows the holder to move faster as they traverse the terrain, leaving a trail that also accelerates allies. However, this benefit vanishes when engaging an enemy, slowing them based on accumulated charges. It’s vital to note that this item will automatically replace the Dead Man’s Plate effect.
Open Voting: Make Your Voice Heard!
From October 2nd to 7th, all players can cast their vote on the main LoL client upon logging in. Riot has provided three options to consider:
- Spooky Invitation: An item with a blue hue evoking the atmospheres of the Shadow Isles.
- Pathmarks: With a bright touch, it blends elements of the Shurima deserts and Nazumah.
- Explorer’s Fanfare: Incorporates musical notes, reminiscent of Bardo’s enchanting tones.
Once the winner is determined, Riot Games will take charge of the final review and officially launch the new support tank item.
