Marvel Rivals developers have announced that the Closed Alpha test will begin on May 10th. Ahead of its launch, they have been teasing what fans can expect during these months.
Now, the development team has revealed more details, outlining the five available modes and the Dawn of Legends 6v6 tournament. Additionally, this tournament boasts a significant prize pool for a game still in its testing phase.
Marvel Rivals – Available Modes
NetEase has made significant efforts to prepare fans for the Marvel Rivals Closed Alpha. This includes a comprehensive overview of the Alpha test. Here are the five different modes you can dive into during the trial:

Dawn of Legends – 6v6 Tournament
With the Custom mode available, Marvel Rivals will host an esports tournament during the Closed Alpha test. The Dawn of Legends tournament is a 6v6 competition with a $22,500 prize pool. The top 32 teams will receive an exclusive in-game title, Dawn of Legends, for each player.
Here’s the breakdown of the tournament phases:
- Registration: May 10th to May 13th.
- Open Qualifiers: May 14th to May 16th.
- Elimination Phase: May 17th to May 19th.
The game’s official Twitch channel will broadcast the entire tournament, so be sure to tune in for a first look at the Marvel Rivals competition.
Extra Invitation Codes
Naturally, not everyone can participate in the Marvel Rivals Closed Alpha. If you receive an invitation via email, consider yourself fortunate. However, don’t give up if you’re overlooked. You still have a chance to play for a 10-day period. Players can achieve certain milestones to obtain invitation codes that they can share with friends.
There’s also a live content creation program where streamers showcase and share their gameplay. If you watch a live stream, you might receive an invitation code, along with other yet-to-be-announced rewards.
