League of Legends: Hwei’s Balancing Act Before Official Launch

30. November 2023 by Valentin Pasetti

As League of Legends Season 13 approaches its conclusion, Riot Games is fine-tuning their latest champion, Hwei, before its official release in the upcoming 13.24 patch. Despite the excitement surrounding this new addition, Riot has deemed it necessary to apply several nerfs to Hwei on the Public Beta Environment (PBE) to ensure balanced gameplay.

The Goal: Balanced Gameplay with Hwei

Hwei, set to join the mid-lane roster, has undergone adjustments focused on balancing the champion’s burst potential. Myles “Riot Emizery” Salholm explained that the aim is to achieve “a higher casting frequency, allowing for more frequent spell combinations and slightly more aggressive play in the mid and late game.”
