In celebration of May The 4th, Fortnite’s v29.40 update is set to bring Star Wars excitement to every corner of the Fortnite universe: LEGO® Fortnite, Battle Royale, Fortnite Festival, and Rocket Racing. Let’s dive in and discover what’s coming to each game!
LEGO Fortnite: Rebel Alliance vs. Empire
The Rebel and Imperial ships, including the iconic Star Destroyer, have crash-landed in LEGO Fortnite! Join the Rebels to survive and build their village, battle the Empire with lightsabers, craft new Star Wars items, explore themed points of interest, and much more. All of this takes place on a new island that will remain in your world even after v29.40.2 concludes.
Complete missions and progress through the LEGO Adventure Pass to unlock free and premium rewards in-game, such as constructions and decorations from the Mos Eisley set, including the famous Mos Eisley Cantina!
Battle Royale: Rescue Chewbacca
Head to an Imperial barricade to rescue Chewbacca, who will support you in battle with his faithful Wookiee bowcaster. You can collect this weapon from chests and Imperial barricades across the island. Engage in new bounty missions and game modes, like the battle against Darth Vader, NPC Stormtroopers, E-11 blaster rifles, and more until May 14th in Fortnite Battle Royale.
Fortnite Festival: Mos Eisley Cantina Stage
On May 3rd, a stage inspired by the famous Mos Eisley Cantina will arrive at the Fortnite Festival’s Improv Stage! Complete the Star Wars missions during the festival to unlock a Battle Pass level-up reward and the Hallikset seven-string guitar.
Rocket Racing: Star Wars Pod Racing Missions
From May 3rd to 7th, Star Wars missions are coming to Rocket Racing. Complete these missions to unlock a Battle Pass level-up and the Energy Chains contrail inspired by pod racing. The v29.40 update will feature a standalone set of Star Wars missions in Rocket Racing. Complete these to earn the Anakin’s Pod Racing decal and the Darth Maul decal.

Item Shop: New Star Wars Gear
