The LEC, the most important LoL competition in the European continent, has already finished its 13th day. We have seen two of the strongest teams in the LEC defeated by their rivals and say goodbye to the MSI. For fans of SK Gaming and Fnatic, it seems both teams say goodbye early to the Spring Split.

SK Gaming and Fnatic said goodbye to the tournament yesterday, April 15, after being the losing team. On the one hand, SK Gaming faced G2 Esports; on the other hand, Fnatic faced MAD Lions.

Today the winning teams must face new opponents and thus determine the last two qualifiers participating in the LEC Playoffs. The Spanish team MAD Lions must face Astralis in group A, while G2 Esports must fight against KOI in team B.

The winners of these two matches are the teams that will join Team BDS and Vitality in the Spring Split finals and the competition for a spot in the Mid-Season Invitational (MSI).

Playoffs are the dream of Team MAD Lions

Three fantastic games were played between MAD Lions and Fnatic in the first set of the day. With impeccable play from the Spanish jungler and outstanding efforts from Yasin “Nisqy” Dinçer and Matyáš “Carzzy” Orság, the Madrid-based team got the series off to a strong start. However, the team led by Rekkles, instead of giving up and sitting back, forced a third map to tie the game and keep their hopes of reaching the playoffs alive.

In the final game, which went to MAD Lions, Javier “Elyoya” Prades again showed a high level of play, and both Carzzy and Zdravets “Hylissang” Galabov delivered another outstanding performance. The Lions took another step closer to the LEC playoffs thanks to Elyoya’s 7/4/20 and Carzzy’s 19/5/8.

G2 Esports is one step closer to the Playoffs

For the second round of the LEC day, G2 Esports and SK Gaming came out fighting to get one step closer to the Playoffs and decide which was the first team in Group B to be eliminated. G2 Samurai had an excellent collective start, scoring the match’s first point.

Now G2 Esports had a clear objective after taking the lead in the series; this objective was to get the victory in this second match and get the victory as soon as possible. G2 was very strong in this second game and achieved their goal because, in just over 23 minutes, the team got the victory and advanced to the last round to decide which teams would advance to the Playoffs.
