The popular team defeated MAD Lions in the grand final and wins its twelfth European title to become the king of League of Legends in our region.

Yesterday, Sunday, February 26, was a special day for League of Legends lovers as we were able to experience the grand final of the LEC Spring Split, the most important competition in Europe if we talk about the popular MOBA from Riot Games.

G2 Esports, probably the best team in the history of our continent, and the Spanish MAD Lions faced each other in this great final, with victory for the former by the fast track, that is, by a resounding 3-0 that has made them climb to the top of the podium to lift the title of champions of Europe of League of Legends.

This is also the twelfth time that G2 has won the European title if we also count the times of the already veteran LCS or the sixth time that they have won the cup if we take into account only the times of the LEC, which, by the way, had a new trophy this year.

Heading for the MSI

Thanks to this victory, in addition to the trophy, G2 manages to get a juicy 40,000 euros of the first prize of the competition, as well as 120 points to go to the World Championship and are the first to get a direct place for the MSI, the mid-season tournament that this 2023 will take place during the month of May in the city of London, United Kingdom.
