Team Secret, a renowned name in the Dota 2 competitive scene, is no stranger to roster adjustments, and yet again, they’re making headlines with another significant change. Marcel “Ekki” Hołowienko, Team Secret’s position 4 player, finds himself benched as the team prepares for the DreamLeague Season 23 qualifiers.

In his place steps Tue “ah fu” Soon Chuan, the team’s coach, who will be taking over the pos 4 role temporarily.

Ah Fu Takes Over as Player

Ah fu, a seasoned Dota 2 veteran from Malaysia, has been serving as Team Secret’s coach since November last year. However, with this sudden alteration, he will transition into a player role, bringing his wealth of experience to the support position. This move comes just in time for the upcoming DreamLeague Season 23 Closed Qualifiers, set to commence on March 22.

Ekki’s New Role

Meanwhile, Ekki, the 21-year-old talent, will be relegated to Team Secret’s inactive roster. Since joining the team on January 6, Ekki showcased his skills in various tournament qualifiers, notably contributing to the team’s success in the DreamLeague Season 22 Closed Qualifiers. However, his tenure with Secret culminated disappointingly as the squad failed to secure a top 10 finish in the tournament.

Return of Heen as Coach

Adding to the changes, Lee “Heen” Seung Gon, a distinguished figure in Dota 2 coaching, makes a comeback as Team Secret’s coach. Heen boasts an illustrious coaching career, having previously guided Team Liquid to victory at The International 7 (TI7) and achieving multiple podium finishes with Team Secret.

Integrating ah fu and Heen to Elevate Performance in DreamLeague Season 23 Qualifiers

With these strategic adjustments, Team Secret aims to revitalize its performance and secure a strong showing in the upcoming DreamLeague Season 23 qualifiers.

The integration of ah fu as a player, coupled with Heen’s expertise as coach, signifies the team’s commitment to staying competitive at the highest level of Dota 2 esports.
