With the imminent arrival of CS2, CS:GO fans have made a long list of players who gave them iconic moments but have now retired from the professional scene.

The long list of players included some great pros from 1.6 and CS:GO. It is important to note that many of the players on that list are missed by all fans and would dream of one day returning to competitions. However, that dream might come true for some fans.

CS:GO fans dream about the return of some players

Yesterday many people from the CS:GO community gathered on Reddit to discuss which of their pro players have already retired from the competitive scene. However, there was no agreement on the best player ever. If there was a fan-favorite squad, the former Polish Virtus Pro team was the top vote-getter yesterday.

The former VP squad certainly knew how to touch the hearts of their fans. Yesterday, many people commented that they dreamed of seeing the whole team again in action. Let’s recall that this squad made its grand debut at EMS One: Katowice in 2014 and stayed together until 2018. Even though their heyday has passed, this squad will be remembered as one of the best lineups ever, inside and outside the game.

On the other hand, yesterday, fans couldn’t choose a single player as the best in CS:GO history. So, they decided to list the best players in this esports.

Fans’ favorite players

Some of the most beloved players by the fans are Janusz “Snax” Pogorzelski and Jaroslaw “pashaBiceps” Jarzbkowski. Undoubtedly this pair of players provided the community with great moments inside and outside the servers. In addition, these two players made a great contribution to CS:GO esports throughout their careers.

For his part, Pasha has remained a constant force in CS:GO esports outside of the servers. This former player traveled 1,000Km to support 9INE at the 2023 RMRs Paris Major.

Return of a former CS:GO, player

On the other hand, fans also dreamed of the redemption of Adil “ScreaM” Benrlitom. Many fans miss this player’s glory moments and dream of him again dominating all his opponents with headshots.

Now, the dream of these fans could come true. The return of ScreaM could be possible with the arrival of CS2. Remember that last July 22, this former player hinted at his change from VALORANT to CS2.

On the other hand, several former players have also mentioned their possible return to CS2. Although the likelihood of returning to the professional scene of many of these players is slim, we can only dream of seeing them in action once again.
