As the Counter-Strike 2 mid-season player break kicks off in June, teams are already making strategic moves in preparation for the highly anticipated Shanghai Major slated for late November.

This period not only allows players to recharge but also serves as a crucial time for teams to assess and adjust their lineups to improve performance in the upcoming tournaments.

June 18: M80 parts ways with Guatemala’s malbsMd, amid swirling rumors of a potential acquisition by G2.

June 17: Team Liquid initiates its off-season restructuring by benching Danish IGL and AWPer cadiaN following a turbulent phase. Speculation suggests that coach zews and rifler skullz may also be on their way out.

G2 also announces the departure of nexa shortly after the team’s mixed results at IEM Dallas and BLAST Premier: Spring Final.

June 16: Team Spirit secures victory at BLAST Premier: Spring Final, while Complexity triumphs at ESL Challenger Jönköping, officially signaling the start of the off-season shuffle.


June 11: Brollan’s loan stint with NiP concludes, with MOUZ signing the Swedish player full-time after a stellar 2024 season that included two offline titles and notable finishes at major tournaments.
