Counter-Strike fans rumor that CS2 is coming soon

3. June 2023 by miranda angeles

There are two compelling reasons gamers believe that Counter-Strike 2 will be released very soon. So it is expected that Valve can reveal new details about the sequel to Counter-Strike: Global Offensive as soon as possible.

With the release of Counter-Strike 2, Valve has had the opportunity to change or adjust its communication strategy. However, the game developers have maintained their usual line.

Although Valve has promised to inform and provide more details to Counter-Strike 2 fans as the release nears, it has been completely silent for the past three months.

However, players over the past few days have become overly optimistic due to the lack of information, and two situations, in particular, have made the community suspect that the release is very close.

The clues about the arrival of Counter-Strike 2

The first clue from the community is related to HackerOne. Companies use the HackerOne platform to reward users with cash for finding bugs compromising their security.

A few days ago, the Counter-Strike developer updated the platform’s policies to include a warning. This warning informed all users that CS: GO reports will no longer be accepted from June 14, 2023, at 10:00 AM PDT.

On the other hand, the developer has also informed us that reports on the limited test of Counter-Strike 2 are also inactive.

Additionally, the “Player Break” takes place at the beginning of the summer. The player break is mandatory, during which no tournaments are played, and teams must give their players a certain amount of vacation time.

This year’s Player Break will occur from June 12 to July 9. If Valve wants to consider professional players in this vacation period, it is the ideal time to launch Counter-Strike 2. In addition, Valve would make the recently concluded Major championship in Paris the last big game in the history of CS:GO.

On the other hand, let’s recall that in early May, Brollan, a professional Counter-Strike player from Ninjas in Pajamas, hosted a Q&A session for the team’s fans. During that session, one person asked him, “Do you think EMI Cologne should be in CS2?”. To which the player replies, “Yes, I think it will be.”

Currently, these are rumors and assumptions from the gaming community; talking about launch dates is inaccurate. So we must wait for Valve to confirm when CS2 will be released officially. However, many clues are beginning to point to the fact that Counter-Strike 2’s release date will not be kept secret for long.
