CS:GO pro makes xenophobic comments against Brazilians

A few days ago, during a live broadcast on Twitch, the Brazilian player Lucas “pulsezor” Duarte recorded NikoM very upset, insulting him. The Argentinian player made very rude comments on Gamers Club, a Brazilian matchmaking service analogous to FACEIT and ESEA. NikoM called pulsezor “dirty Brazilian,” “Brazilian with cancer,” “shitty Brazilian,” and even “poor Brazilian.” The Argentine player’s hateful comments against the Brazilian occurred when pulsezor beat NikoM by a score of 16-14.

Uproar in the Brazilian community

The video where NikoM insults pulsezor has been seen by almost one million people; this fact has caused a strong upset among the Brazilian CS:GO community. Many people call for NikoM to be immediately banned from the Gamers Club platform; others also ask that regional tournament organizers no longer allow him to compete on Brazilian soil.

It is important to note that NikoM was on the squads of the Brazilian teams “Team oNe” and “DETONA Gaming” between 2018 and 2021. In 2022, NikoM was last seen playing with the River Plate jersey in the South American CS:GO competitive scene. On the other hand, it is also important to remember that Brazil has become the biggest CS:GO scene in the region; many teams consider the country the breeding ground for professional players. Other countries, such as Argentina, Uruguay, and Chile, have fewer resources for developing esports athletes.

Comments on NikoM’s insults to pulsezor

In the video, you can see how NikoM insults pulsezor and has a lot of comments that disapprove of the attitude of the Argentinean. For example, FalleN’s brother, Marcelo Toledo, has commented that there should be zero tolerance for this kind of attitude.

On the other hand, you can read the comment of 00 wastzera, who affirms that he plays against NikoM and his friends and lives hateful and xenophobic attacks. This player claims that NikoM is in charge of spreading hate and racism.

In turn, Gamers Club has responded to pulsezor. They claim that this type of action is not accepted on the platform and is not tolerated any hatred. In addition, the Gamers Club commented that the necessary measures would be taken against NikoM.

However, after Gamers Club’s investigation, the platform informed that NikoM had violated the rules of conduct. Consequently, the player’s account was closed, and they have clarified that this kind of attitude will be strongly punished.
