It may be that the most anticipated video game by the gaming community for the past few years is the title being developed by Riot Games. This game has everyone waiting for its release, as it is an MMO based on the League of Legends universe.

As the months passed, it seemed no new information was coming in. Unfortunately, some of the known news is not very good for the fans. The first news that arrived a few months ago was the departure of the executive producer of Riot Games’ MMO, Ghostcrawler, who informed that he decided to leave the project to dedicate himself to his family and personal projects.

However, Ghostcrawler at the time was in charge of transmitting confidence to everyone waiting for the game. Ghostcrawler affirmed that everything remained in good hands despite leaving the project, and his departure would not affect the development. After that comment, everything seemed to be calm. However, now comes the news of the departure of another development team member.

It has recently been announced that lead designer Justin “Xenogenic” Hanson is leaving the project, leaving Riot Games and, consequently, this long-awaited MMO.

Xenogenic has been in charge of informing the community of the news of his departure from Riot Games’ MMO through a publication on his Twitter account.

Hanson’s work has been crucial and of utmost importance for developing Riot’s MMO. Hanson’s goal was to work on the vision that the MMO was going to have, thus giving a base on which to work and be able to develop the game.

In Hanson’s statement, he said he is leaving Riot and, consequently, the game’s development and trying to reassure all the fans. However, it doesn’t look good at all.

Hanson comments that leaving his job at Riot Games is sad for him. However, he is looking forward to starting other projects. On the other hand, Hanson says that working with the MMO team was a pleasure.

Naturally, this has made some people wonder how video games will be developed. However, it is not the first time that it has happened that some members of a project’s team have left before its launch. However, it will be interesting to see what Riot Games has in store for this MMO and whether they decide to continue developing it or whether the project ultimately fails.
