A former professional CoD player admits to being addicted to playing Apex Legends

Seth “Scump” Abner is one of the best Call of Duty players, also known as a shooter legend. This former CoD player has admitted that since leaving the professional scene, he has become addicted to playing Apex Legends. According to the information revealed by Scump, he aims to reach the highest rank in the game. In the case of Apex Legends, it is the Predator rank.

Without a doubt, Scump has shown a love for video games and is very good at what he chooses to play. Scump’s career as a CoD pro has been brilliant. Scump was on the competitive scene for over 12 years. In that period, Scump won more than 30 tier 1 events, including the 2017 world championship. However, despite a successful career as a professional, Scump announced that he was retiring before the 2023 CDL season.

Scump, during his career, proved to be a very good shooter player in general, as he was one of the best in CoD. But he was also very good at playing titles like CS:GO and VALORANT.

Since Scump’s retirement, his fans have seen how he spends his free time playing VALORANT. However, he has now found his love for Apex and aims to reach the game’s top rank.

Scump’s clear goal

Scump and Damon “Karma” Barlow, his old partner at OpTic Gaming, want to accomplish a goal. This objective has been baptized as “wood to pred” and is to reach the highest rank in Apex Legends.

Undoubtedly, this great goal will not be so easy to achieve. Only a few players who have spent years playing or professional players have achieved it in the Predator rank. On the other hand, in season 18, the Apex ranks will be reinstated.

But, even though Scump has little time playing, he has demonstrated a great ability to Apex. In one of his Twitter posts, we see a video where he eliminates an entire team without missing a shot. Undoubtedly, being one of the best CoD players will help him to achieve his goal in Apex.

In another video posted by Scump, he shows us how he managed to eliminate an enemy that was fully armored without reloading his weapon.

After showing his potential within Apex Legends, his fans have encouraged him to become a professional player. However, Scump may not want to return to the routine of a professional esports athlete after retiring from CoD.
